Carefully paste in the ID Number you put in a text file so it overwrites the one in the copied section. Paste it in and amend the version to be 0.61c or whatever you found when you started the game.
Go right to the bottom line and lets say for example it is version 0.61a or 0.61b, copy it in it's entirety as per below from the version id to the /version (end version). Open the configs folder, open the Games sub folder, open TheForest sub folder then open the Versions file with Notepad++ or similar. Once run, open the Logs folder and check the ModApi Log that has no number after it.

Run the game at least once again using the ModApi in the ModApi folder, you need ModApi auto updates and update versions turned off and can do it in the configuration files inside the Config Folder if not already done-get hold of Notepad++ for free and use that Run the game first to find the version number as it sometimes quite quickly changes from 0.61b to 0.61c for example and you need the exact version prefix. If you installed the ModApi before January 2017 then you need to get the newest version from the ModApi site Įvery time you get a change or update proceed as follows.
